For years, Canberrans have woken early on a Saturday morning to shop at the EPIC markets where Crookwell butcher Phil McCormack sells the highest quality meats. Today, his acclaimed Lost River Produce shop in Dickson is Essence's exclusive supplier, which means every cut of steak and every slice of lamb or pork is sourced from right across the road.
In continued dedication to supporting Canberra's truly remarkable local produce, every herb used in preparation of the à la carte menu is grown hydroponically in our on-site garden and carefully tended to by our team of chefs. Our support of all things local doesn't end with the food, though, because every wine sold is a product of Canberra's nationally renowned cool-climate winemakers, from local icons Graeme Shaw and Tim Kirk to Riesling champion Ken Helm and rising star Nick O'Leary.
